Have you ever come across a product or service and thought – “Hey this is so cool – why didn’t someone think of this earlier?” We had the same thought when we heard about the Linner concept at Cucina Restaurant at Courtyard by Marriott (Dubai Green Community).
Picture this: Like every typical weekend, you’re out until the wee hours on Thursday night and hit the sack at 3 am after chomping off whatever food you can find. Then, you wake up by 11, feeling ravenous and barely manage a late breakfast by 12. Naturally you skip lunch because of this. Your friend pings you for a night drive and you agree.
Come 3pm – your stomach growls again, but to your dismay, find that most restaurants in Dubai are winding up their lunch and brunch menus. Sigh! Too lazy and hungry to cook on a Friday afternoon, what do you do?
Enter the genius Linner concept by Cucina restaurant. Lunch + dinner = Linner. Get the equation?
Housed inside Courtyard by Marriott, Green Community, Cucina is a casual, spacious and friendly restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. The circular shaped restaurant boasts of a children’s play area, a large swing, outdoor seating and Instagram worthy views of the adjacent lake.
The Linner is served between 3.30 pm to 7 pm every Friday and consists of up to 6 starters, 3 varieties of Pastas, 4 marinades, soft drinks and at least 15 different types of desserts and ice creams.
The menu is set and guests are served each dish one after another, as opposed to an à la carté course. Of course, guests are free to highlight their preferences with respect to ingredients or if they would like to skip a dish altogether.
And of course, there is always room in our tummies and hearts for dessert!
Priced at AED 195 per person including soft drinks – it is a reasonable amount to pay for an evening spent in the company of friendly staff, picturesque views, a musician serenading you with popular songs and of course, delicious Italian food!
For those who’d like an upgrade, higher packages are also available at AED 295 per person including house beverages and AED 345 per person for the bubbly package.
