Happy New Year you guys! I do hope that this new year is filled with opportunities and new beginnings for each one of you.Let’s begin this new year with the review of a couple of products that I have been using since the last few weeks.
I’m talking about MaxFactor’s newest Facefinity All Day Primer and Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation.
The range saw me through Christmas parties and the New Years’ eve bash. After having gained enough experience with these products, I turn to share my experience with these products. Keep scrolling to read the full review of MaxFactor’s Facefinity All Day Primer and Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation.
The MaxFactor Facefinity All Day Primer
Product insight: Primer is not just a make-up artist essential anymore. Women today are so obsessed with social media – that there’s a big desire for make-up that photographs well. Primer has become must have for flawless skin perfection as it softens the look, removes shininess and enhances the finish of your favourite foundation by giving an ideal base. It really is the starting point for well-balanced skin.”
My Experience with the the MaxFactor Facefinity All Day Primer:
The MaxFactor Facefinity All Day Primer is a white translucent lotion that forms the perfect base for foundation. The Facefinity primer also includes SPF 20, which is great for people like me who hate to pile on too many products. With this face primer on, you can easily skip your suncreen on a regular day with light to medium sun exposure.
The MaxFactor Facefinity Primer is best used along with the Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation (reviewed later)
Packaging: The Primer comes in a neat glass bottle with a golden top that gives it a premium look. However the glass bottle makes it prone to breakage. The primer bottle comes with a pump which makes it easy to take exactly the right amount of primer you need. What I also like about it is the twist-to-lock technology which prevents the product from spilling even if the cap is lost.
Texture: The MaxFactor Facefinity Primer is a light white translucent lotion that forms a thin film on your face. It evens out your skin tone and instantly smooths the skin surface to prepare it for step 2 – the Maxfinity 3 in 1 Foundation.
Verdict: I have tried the Maxfinity Foundation with and without the Primer, and indeed the wear seems to be extended when I have the primer on. I tend to touch my face very often during the day, and I noticed that my makeup was more intact on my Primer days. The maximum I have worn the combination at a stretch is about 11 hours, and I’m impressed by how my face still looked flawless till the end.
MaxFactor Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation
Product insight: Max Factor’s first ever 3 in 1 product, combining three professional make-up tools in one bottle – a primer, SPF foundation and concealer, all blended to perfection. The result is long-lasting high coverage thanks to a clever, ‘hold-correct-finish’ formula. Its micro-correctors defend against external influencers like sweat and sebum and correct and maintain the perfect look over time, whilst preventing shine.
My Experience with the MaxFactor Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation
The MaxFactor Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation is oil-free, dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. The MaxFactor Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation is available in 14 shades, which means that there is a shade for every skin color!
Of the 14, I tried The Sun Beige shade as it suits my skin best. However I have included swatches of the porcelain shade as well for those of you on the fairer side.
Packaging: The packaging of the MaxFactor Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation is exactly like that of the Primer which includes a sturdy glass bottle, posh golden lock-able pump and clear cap.
Texture: The Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation is a light, easily spreadable foundation, and just 2 pumps are enough to cover the entire face and neck. I prefer to apply small dots all over my face, and spread it across my face and neck with the fingertips for a flawless finish.
Verdict: The Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation provides medium coverage. It is great at evening out your skin tone and making it look professional. I have been photographed quite a few times with this foundation on, and it boy, it does photograph very well!
However, those looking for intensive coverage may be disappointed as it is not great at hiding acne and marks.
The foundation includes qualities of a primer, sun-block foundation and concealer which is a big plus in my eyes as it means saving time in the morning piling on different products. I’m definitely adding these to my beauty must-haves list!
I have been using these products for over a month now, and I am completely taken by their quality. I would indeed recommend you to give these a try as they render a luxurious finish on a budget price point. A well thought out range for the modern working woman indeed!
Max Factor All Day Flawless Primer (approx. AED 79) and Foundation (approx. AED 98) is available in Boots and Lifestyle Stores.
