What comes to your mind when I say Valentine’s day? The Cupid, red roses and chocolates for your beloved? This February, give your skin some pampering at Queen’s Beauty Lounge with a host of chocolate based services! Because after all, your skin is the only true companion you’ve been born with and will ever have.
Dark chocolate is packed with potent antioxidants and contains various essential nutrients which help you to stay healthy and beautiful. When applied as a mask, it helps in preventing wrinkles and fine lines. And due to this gamut of beauty benefits, chocolate is a popular treatment during the month of love – February.
Queen’s Beauty Lounge is celebrating the month of love with a gamut of services to make you you put your best face forward. Chocolate facial, mani-pedi and body scrub, along with enticing beauty packages will be offered to clients right through February.
I was invited to review the Chocolate Deep Cleansing Facial at Queen’s Beauty Lounge at Marina last weekend, and after having tried the awesome mani-pedi at their JLT branch, I just couldn’t refuse.
The Marina salon is located at Trident Marinascape behind the Damac Properties Metro station (exit 2). I would suggest calling the salon to request for location coordinates as the Google maps location wrongly directs you to Trident Waterfront near JBR walk. You really don’t want to face the same plight as I did, as the 2 locations are over 20 minutes apart coupled with traffic.
The Queen’s Beauty Lounge at Marina is a spic and span premise with white and blue interiors. With friendly staff and soothing music, you immediately feel at home. I recognized a few faces from my visit to their JLT branch and they happily bantered over how every salon employee was pseudo-named after a flower.
A few minutes later, I was ushered into the treatment room where I changed and readied myself for the facial. My therapist for the day was Ms. Tulip, and she began the facial routine with a thorough cleansing of the face. Suitable scrubbing, steaming, massaging and toning later, the chocolate mask was applied and left to dry.
Spoiler Alert: The facial does not smell like a chocolate fountain, nor does it taste as delicious.
For most of the facials I have been to, the therapists have stepped away while the masks dried. But Tulip went on to provide a complimentary hand and foot massage – which I felt was a nice relaxing touch.
After about 15 minutes (I lost count of time as I kept drifting in and out of a peaceful slumber) the mask was wiped off and was followed up with a moisturizer. When I was finally allowed to open my eyes, I looked in the mirror to see a well rested and glowing side of me! What happier feeling than that?
I would definitely recommend the Queen’s Beauty Salon to all of you, and especially after the unforgettable mani-pedi at their Halloween party last year, the Chocolate Facial did not fall short of meeting my expectations. A lot of my friends and readers ask me about the best salons in town, and I have personally recommended Queen’s to many of them simply because they do a good job. The fact that they completely spoil you is just an added bonus!
