The world loves monochrome!
If there are indeed any fool proof ways to look classy minus the effort for a day out – on top of the list would be to go the black and white route! Not only do the contrasts look striking, but a playful manipulation of stripes and angles makes your frame appear more chiseled and camouflages all imperfections!
Don’t believe us? Check out Slice of Dubai‘s featured fashionista – Anna Lazareva.
A full time photographer and part time model – bubbly and friendly Anna Lazareva loves to keep it simple, sparing the occasional splurge on high-end brands calling it her self-pampering shopping sprees. We caught her on her way to work in a fashion company where she is the eye behind the lens that makes everything she snaps look pretty. Need we say, she equally enjoys her time in front of the camera – as she appears anything but camera shy in the photos below!
Her monochrome look also prompted a flashback to our visit to At The Top – Burj Khalifa in November last year, when I sported a monochrome maxi dress in contrast of the amazing Dubai skyline in the backdrop. sigh
Slicing Anna’s outfit:
Anna’s snugly fitted monochrome bodycon dress cleverly uses differently angled stripes to accentuate her curves. The low-cut back flaunts her Ukrainian good looks to perfection and adding a touch of glamor is a trademark magenta lipstick.
She opts for neutral color-blocked heels to complement the outfit, though we personally wouldn’t mind a little bit of fun in the shoe department. We’re thinking on the lines of red or orange pumps or black strapped heels.
Anna uses a black short sling bag to hang over her arms and ties her hair in a slick top-knot to keep the attention to her monochrome dress.
